Who he is
From a Karkala village to public life
Born in Karkala in 1973, Udaya Shetty Muniyal trained as a civil engineer — a diploma at Manipal, a B.E. at N.M.A.M. Institute of Technology, and an M.Tech in structural engineering at Manipal University.
He has since carried out road construction work for P.W.D., N.H., S.H.D.P., K.S.S.I.D.C., P.M.G.S.Y. and K.I.A.D.B., and has served as Vice President of the District Congress Committee and President of the Hebri Ajekar Zonal Bunts Association.

ನನ್ನ ಜೀವನ ಶೈಲಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನನಗೆ ತುಂಬಾನೆ ತೃಪ್ತಿ ಇದೆ. ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಆದಷ್ಟು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು, ಅವರ ಭಾವನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಯಾರಾದರು ಕಷ್ಟ ಎಂದು ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಇಲ್ಲಾ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಆ ದೇವರು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿಲ್ಲಾ. ಜನಪರವಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕು, ಅವರ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಮರೆಯಲಾಗದ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವಿಸಬೇಕು ಎನ್ನುವುದು ನನ್ನ ಆಸೆ.
